The use of shatterproof lamps is strongly recommended for fly killers used in the agri-food industry: these lamps are coated to prevent any risk of broken glass spraying if the lamp shatters.
To ensure optimum efficiency, make sure you replace the lamp in your insect killer every year. The lamp starts losing efficiency to attract flying insects after 8 months. After one year, it is only 30% effective. To change the lamp in the insect killer: Unplug the unit. Release the movable grid by pulling it slightly. Unscrew the lamp and remove it from the unit. Insert the new lamp.
